The Times ran an interesting article today that I had to stop reading because it was kinda upsetting. It was about a high tech prostitution ring where “hobbyists” would pay for sex with youjng women holed up in fancy hotel rooms and later review the girl on an online review board much like you might review a book or movie. Okay, maybe a horny guy is a connoisseur of sex – fine. But let’s be honest in that it is a one way street for the benefit of one (these girls probably make less from a night of sex than the techy Johns visiting them made in a few hours sitting in meetings and at their computer). Also, let’s be honest in that most prostitutes are selling their bodies, often with no choice, because they have no other choices to make a living – if a guy has 400 bucks to spend on one-sided sex, maybe they could instead gave that money to a scholarship or charity fund to help out women such as these. Having sex with a random, nerdy dude would be bad enough but then these girls have to be exposed to some jackass posting a review about their performance. I have a hard time believing most of those men would accept 400 dollars to give another man a blow job, especially if the man then posted a note about the experience, which kind of indicates how one sided the whole thing is.
How sad, and how unkind and unfeeling to patronize and participate in that.
