I think I’ve read about every president in US History, and we’ve had some bad ones but I genuinely don’t think we’ve ever had a worse one than Donald Trump. Jimmy Carter was awful as President but had good intentions, and Coolidge, Hoover, Johnson, Grant and a few pre-Civil War Presidents were horrifically inept but I don’t think they were willfully damaging. Trump colluded with a major antagonist to influence our “free” elections, is fighting the press, antagonizing allies of 50 years, damaging the environment, put awful people with no credentials in key positions while leaving others blank, pushing healthcare legislation that will hurt 10s of millions of innocent people, taking us backwards (coal) on energy sources, emotionally empowering racist organizations, uses the Presidency to enrich himself while in office (at least Bill/Hilary waited until after his term to enrich themselves), isn’t addressing in any way the increasing class disparity, and basically putting America on hold while China, Russia and our European allies move forward with plans and strategies. We Americans (me included) are basically waiting 4 years, but can we wait 4 years? Will we Americans (me included) rise up and demand justice? We’ll survive I think, but 4 years — or action — can’t get here soon enough.
