One of my favorite things about Casablanca is it is an efficiently told story without any mistakes, a little bit like a pitcher throwing a shutout with a few scattered hits (vs. an overpowering no-hitter). I thought Bronson was that way – it was an interesting biopic with no mistakes, and a few nice twists (e.g. vaudeville-like acts) to avoid the inevitable thinly told flashbacks. Plus it had Refn’s chic touches and another awesome performance by Tom Hardy (I thought his performance in Revenant was the best of the year). Anyway, an interesting film about an interesting character.
